A new picture of young women's leadership in Bhiwandi.

Bhiwandi. In the Gen‑Z era, young women of Bhiwandi are stepping forward to lead in society and politics. This is inspiring for the next generation. Those who work with pure intentions need not fear anyone. Political trolling should be ignored and focus should remain on work. This was said by Supriya Sule, National Working President of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) and Member of Parliament. Sule was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the office of Isha Imran Khan, Chairperson of the Standing Committee of Bhiwandi Municipal Corporation. The event was attended by MP Suresh Mhatre alias Baliya Mama, MLA Jitendra Avhad, MLA Rais Sheikh, Mayor Narayan Chaudhary, Deputy Mayor Tariq Momin, City President Shoaib Khan Guddu, faction leader Musharat Arshad Ansari and former Deputy Mayor Imran Khan, along with a large number of councilors and citizens.

Supriya Sule, referring to Isha Khan, said that she is leading the Gen‑Z generation and is proficient in Marathi, Hindi and English. She advised that one should love Marathi as much as one's mother tongue. She noted that Sharad Pawar had initiated reservation for women in politics, but in many places the work of female representatives is handled by their husbands. In contrast, in Bhiwandi a young woman is moving ahead to lead, with her father standing firmly behind her—a pleasing picture.

Isha Khan raised the issue of a lack of funds for development projects in the city and demanded that the state government provide a special grant. In response, Sule assured that she will personally take the delegation to the Chief Minister to secure the necessary funds for Bhiwandi’s development. MP Suresh Mhatre said that through Hindu‑Muslim unity, the municipal corporation’s functioning is advancing in Bhiwandi and is being appreciated across the country. Meanwhile, MLA Jitendra Avhad said that setting aside political differences and coming together on a platform to wish all leaders well presents a positive image. The emergence of women in Bhiwandi politics is a welcome step.
