Accusation of exceeding the allotted number of female singers at Orchestra Bar, case filed against manager

Bhiwandi: In the Konkan police station area, the police have filed a case against the manager of an orchestra bar for allegedly violating government orders and license conditions. According to the police, nine female singers were found working in the bar instead of the prescribed eight.
According to the police, the action was taken on the night of 29 September at around 1:20 a.m. at the Sigar Orchestra Bar located on Kalyan‑Bhiwandi Road in the Pimpalghar area. During the investigation, more female singers than the number specified in the license were found in the bar.
The police allege that the bar manager, Dheerendra Bhagwat Sahu (42), operated the orchestra bar by employing nine female singers, thereby violating the license conditions. The case was registered on the complaint of police officer Hemant Dattatray Khadse.
Konkan police have filed a case against the accused under Section 223 of the Indian Penal Code. The police informed that the accused has been served a notice under Section 35(3) of the Indian Civil Security Code.
The investigation of the case is being conducted by Police Sub‑Inspector Jadhav.
