Actor Rohullah Mehdi, Cast in Shahid Kapoor’s Film “Deva”, Arrested by Kashi Mira Police on Drug Trafficking Charges

A shocking development has emerged from the film industry. Actor Rohullah Mehdi, who portrays “Rohan Bhai” in Shahid Kapoor’s film “Deva”, has reportedly been arrested by Kashi Mira Police on charges of drug trafficking.
According to the police, after receiving information about an international drug racket operating via social media, authorities laid a trap. In this operation, the police seized approximately 28 grams of MD (methylenedioxymethamphetamine), estimated to be worth ₹5.60 lakh. So far, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the case.
Creating a Fake Client to Lure the Police
The police had received covert intelligence that restricted drugs were being sold via social media platforms in Meera Road and surrounding areas. Subsequently, the police team devised a plan to create a fake client to approach the suspects.
Per the police, a person was called to deliver 28 grams of MD to the Dihasar Chhekanaka area. As soon as the suspect attempted to hand over the drugs, the police detained him. During interrogation, he allegedly named Rohullah Mehdi.
Thereafter, the investigation team arrested Mehdi from a studio in Mumbai where he was busy with shooting.
Further Arrests May Follow
Rohullah Mehdi is reportedly originally from Badgam district in Jammu & Kashmir and currently resides in Goregaon, Mumbai. Apart from the film “Deva”, he has worked in several web series.
Under the guidance of police sub‑inspector level officers, the investigation into this case is ongoing. The police are now trying to ascertain where the accused received the drugs and who else is involved in this alleged network. As the investigation progresses, it is anticipated that names of other suspects may come to light.
