Mujaffar Hussain’s Birthday: Economic Assistance to Destitute Women

On the occasion of the birthday of senior Vice‑President of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee and former MLA Mujaffar Hussain, opposition party leader and municipal councillor Afreen Syed, a financial aid cheque was distributed to single, destitute and widowed women through the Maira‑Bhiandar Municipal Corporation.

The event was held at the opposition party office located in the Maira‑Bhiandar Municipal Corporation. The purpose of this social initiative was to provide financial support to women in need.

Former Deputy Mayor Noorjahan Hussain (Mammy Ji), along with municipal councillors from the Congress Party, were present at the program. Attendees praised the social initiative and described it as an important step for women in need.

Throughout the day, various social and public awareness programmes were also organized in celebration of Mujaffar Hussain’s birthday. These included a women’s health and sanitation awareness programme and a pickleball tournament on Maira Road.
