Legal awareness session concludes enthusiastically at Oxford English School

City News Mumbai•24 August 2026 at 07:38 am•7 views•2 min read

Thane: A Legal Awareness Session organized at Oxford English School, Thane at 10:15 AM on behalf of second‑year LLB students of TMC Law College, Thane.

The primary objective of this initiative was to create awareness among students about law, inform them about their fundamental rights and duties, explain ways to stay safe from cyber crimes, introduce the Right to Information, and raise awareness about road safety and traffic rules.

During the session, various important legal topics were explained to the students in simple and easily understandable ways. Bipin Kumar Singh covered fundamental rights and duties, Krishna Kokani discussed cybercrime, Sunil Gawade addressed the Right to Information (RTI), and Pravin Gharge guided on road safety and the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

During the guidance, students were shown the importance of law through various everyday examples.

Students were provided useful information on precautions while using social media and the internet, citizens' rights and responsibilities, safe conduct in public places, compliance with traffic rules, and the right to obtain information from the government.

The message that law is not limited to judicial proceedings but is an integral part of daily life was conveyed to the students during the session.

Special emphasis was placed on the fact that a citizen knowledgeable about the law can not only protect their rights but also perform their duties towards society with greater responsibility.

This initiative fostered legal awareness among students and inspired them to become responsible, vigilant, and law‑respecting citizens. The effort undertaken by TMC Law College students proved to be a significant and commendable step in legal awareness.

Know the law, recognize your rights, fulfill your duties, and become a responsible citizen!
