Bappa's enchanting form adorned by children's hands, 225 students showcased a glimpse of skill.

Amid preparations for Ganesh Chaturthi, the creativity of children in Bhiwandi captured everyone's attention. A Ganesh idol‑making competition was organized at NES English Primary School by the Dhamankar Naka Mitra Mandal and Swabhiman Seva Sanstha. A total of 225 students participated enthusiastically and crafted attractive statues of Ganapati Bappa with their own hands.

Under the guidance of the school's principal, Manasi Raje, the children used shadu clay, ordinary soil, and colored clay to shape their imaginations. While some students created traditional Ganapati statues, others gave Bappa a unique form through their imagination. The statues made by the children clearly displayed their creativity, artistic skill, and imagination.

A special aspect of the competition was that, besides linking the children to the religious and cultural traditions of Ganesh Chaturthi, a message of an eco‑friendly Ganesh festival was also conveyed. By making Ganesh idols from soil, an effort was made to teach students the importance of using natural materials and protecting the environment.

According to the organizers, the purpose of such events is not only to showcase children's artistic talent but also to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment.

Principal Manasi Raje said that such creative activities develop artistic skills along with confidence, patience, and creative thinking in students. They also strengthen the children's connection to their culture and traditions.

During the competition, the enthusiasm of the children in the school was evident. While shaping Bappa's statues from soil and clay, joy and excitement were clearly visible on their faces. The event presented a beautiful confluence of child talent, culture, and environmental awareness amid the fervor of Ganesh Chaturthi.
