Commissioner's surprise inspection in Bhivandi municipal schools triggers uproar in the education department

The municipal administration has begun stringent measures to improve the quality of education in the schools of Bhivandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation.

Under the directive of Municipal Commissioner Anmol Sagar, an abrupt and direct inspection campaign has been underway in all municipal schools of the city since last week.

This action has caused a stir in the education department.

The responsibility for inspections has been entrusted to the education department team under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner (Instruction) Balakrishnan Kshirsagar.

Municipal education department officials are visiting schools to examine the operations of Cluster Resource Center (CRC) coordinators.

During this, they are assessing whether CRC coordinators are conducting regular visits to the respective schools and whether teachers' instructional methods are being observed.

In addition, the attendance of teachers, classroom teaching methods, and the quality of education are also being examined.

Officials are also scrutinizing students' assessments, records of their academic progress, and the school's academic environment.

The status of various programs run in schools for the holistic development of children is also being inspected.

A detailed report of deficiencies and good practices identified during inspections will be submitted to the commissioner.

The municipal administration has clarified that if any officer, CRC coordinator, or teacher is found negligent in their duties, delays in work, or disregards instructions from senior officials, their liability will be determined. Administrative and disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned employee under service rules.

Commissioner Anmol Sagar clarified that this is not a one-time campaign. Surprise inspections of schools will continue until a substantial improvement in students' academic quality is achieved. Regular assessment of students' progress will also be conducted, and further action will be decided based on it.
