"Political birth" by whose grace.....? The Tatkare‑Dalvi clash erupts; "We wouldn't have withdrawn the form"

Mumbai, dated 29 (Anant Nalavade) – In the state, the Mahayuti government and in Raigad, an open political clash among Mahayuti leaders – this contradictory picture has emerged once again. The verbal war between Shiv Sena MLA Mahendra Dalvi and Nationalist Congress Party Legislative Council member Aniket Tatkare has now gone beyond party differences and has reached the point of questioning each other's political existence.

A few days ago, Mahendra Dalvi targeted the Nationalist Congress Party, accusing it of being a perpetually disruptive party. While stating that the BJP and Shiv Sena share the same views, he also hinted that the Tatkare family would suffer a political blow in the coming period.

Aniket Tatkare also gave a strong response to Dalvi's attack. Questioning Dalvi's perceptiveness, he claimed that Dalvi had sought the Tatkare family's assistance for his own political benefit. He also said that they are aware of how many rounds Dalvi made to the Tatkare family for help during the assembly elections. Moreover, he alleged that Dalvi even approached Tatkare to secure the Zilla Parishad Chairman post for Dalvi's wife, Manasi Dalvi.

After that, Dalvi's retaliation became even more aggressive. Chanting “Do not break the stars of talent,” they targeted Aniket Tatkare's very political existence. Going further, they referred to him as a “surrogate child” and criticized him in highly venomous terms. The subsequent statement became the focal point of discussion in Raigad politics. He said, “If we had not withdrawn the form, the fight would have taken place and we would have won, and Aniket Tatkare would never have been born politically.” This remark has turned the Tatkare‑Dalvi clash into more than just a verbal battle between two leaders. The alleged accounting of who rose with whose political support, whose door was knocked at during elections, and who depended on whom in the local power equation has now become a subject of public political discourse.

In Raigad, is Mahayuti’s “unity” actually an internal simmering conflict......?

Even after the controversy over the caretaker minister post, this clash shows that local‑level differences within Mahayuti have not been completely resolved. While the power equation in the state may be uniform, the competition in Raigad’s local politics paints a different picture. Consequently, against the backdrop of upcoming local self‑government elections, the question now is how costly this conflict will be for Mahayuti. If this “political duel” among allied parties reaches the voters, the possibility of altering the equations in Raigad cannot be denied.
