Revenue Minister's “Ideal Registration Pattern” now rolled out nationwide; each office to receive a grant of 50 lakh from the centre.

Mumbai: The central government has taken note of the utility of the model registration offices that came into existence from the concept of Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, and the model registration office that started in Pune has now been directed by the Land Resources Division of the Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj to be launched across the country.

Notably, Secretary of the Central Land Resources Department Narendra Bhushan said that a provision of ₹50 lakh has been made for each office to start such offices nationwide.

Under the chairmanship of Secretary Narendra Bhushan, a review meeting of the proposed “Central Registration Bill, 2026” was held via video conferencing with the registration superintendents of all states. The meeting was attended by the state’s Registration Superintendent and Stamp Controller Ravindra Binwade and Deputy Superintendent Rajendra Muṭhe. In this meeting, detailed discussions were held on the provisions of the proposed bill, its potential impact, and state‑level reforms, and the feedback and suggestions of the states were obtained.

Officials reported that under the guidance of Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the Registration and Stamp Department has been successfully implementing various innovative schemes to increase revenue as well as to provide citizens with more convenient, transparent and efficient services, and they have instructed that all states should implement such innovative initiatives.

The Central Secretary praised the dynamic initiatives of Maharashtra’s Registration and Stamp Department, such as “One District, One Registration”, “e‑Certificate”, the “model offices” built on the framework of passport offices, and “e‑Registration”.
