Shiv Sena's New Strategy: Election Preparation and Policy Changes

City News Mumbai•15 September 2026 at 03:02 am•0 views•3 min read

Shiv Sena has adopted a new strategy for the upcoming assembly elections, in which the party's senior leaders discussed policy changes and alliance options. This move has clarified the party's electoral direction.

Shiv Sena today announced a new strategy for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections under the leadership of its chief convenor. This step is an attempt to clarify internal changes within the party and its electoral objectives. In the meeting, senior party leaders, the convenor president and chief policy makers gathered to discuss candidate selection, policy direction and the outline of the election campaign. The new strategy aims to attract young voters and increase support in rural and urban areas. This decision signals Shiv Sena's electoral maturity and a redefinition of its role in regional politics.

During the meeting, the convenor president said that social inclusion and economic development will be the main criteria in candidate selection. He said that both the farmer class in rural areas and the youth in urban areas will receive balanced representation. In addition, the party highlighted new policy initiatives, prioritizing rural water management and digital education.

The president also announced changes in Shiv Sena's internal structure, forming a special task force for young workers. The main purpose of this task force is to conduct active promotion on digital platforms and disseminate electoral messages through social media. Additionally, the party proposed improving financial reporting and establishing an internal monitoring committee to increase transparency.

Shiv Sena also discussed alliance options, emphasizing the possibility of dialogue with major parties of the central government. The convenor president said the party will accept any alliance only if it aligns with its values and development plans. He also clarified that Shiv Sena's primary goal is to promote social harmony and economic progress in Maharashtra.

For voter outreach, Shiv Sena has adopted a mixed approach of digital campaigns, road programs and rural camps. The party has ensured that election information centers will be set up in every village and town, where voters can learn about candidates' profiles and policy proposals. Moreover, the party promised to run special programs for women voters to involve them actively.

Financial aspects were also discussed, where the party emphasized transparency of campaign spending and a limited budget. The convenor president said the goal is to keep election expenses below 30%, to ensure efficient use of resources. Along with this, the party has prepared a new policy framework for donations and grants, which will help raise funds from both public and private sources.

Thus, Shiv Sena has prepared a comprehensive and transparent strategy for the upcoming election, clearly defining the party's electoral direction.
