SP leader accuses five, including an MLA, of conspiracy

Political turmoil has intensified over the alleged audio that surfaced on a WhatsApp group in Bhiwandi. The city secretary of the Samajwadi Party, Hameed Sattar Sheikh, filed a written complaint with the police superintendent (Zone‑2), accusing former Bhiwandi MLA Raees Kasam Sheikh and five others of plotting his murder. He has demanded a technical and forensic examination of the alleged audio and protection for himself and his family.
In the complaint, Hameed Sheikh named Satish Patil alias Bachcha, Sultan Shakil Siddiqui alias Tipu, Sajoo Sameer Siddiqui, Imran Wali Mohammad Khan, and MLA Raees Kasam Sheikh. However, the allegations made in the complaint have not been independently verified, and the authenticity of the audio and the content of its statements will become clear only after a police investigation.
According to Hameed Sheikh, on 27 September he obtained an audio recording of a conversation that took place in the WhatsApp group named “R S Corporators”. The complaint alleges that in the audio, Satish Patil alias Bachcha supposedly tells a person to go to Miltanagar and “drop a bomb”. The complaint further claims that another person allegedly supports this statement.
In his application to the police, Hameed Sheikh alleged that the conversation and the activities of the involved persons make him feel that his life is in danger. He expressed concern that an attack could be carried out against him. The complainant has requested the police to conduct a forensic and technical examination of the alleged audio so that the authenticity of the recording and the identities of the people involved can be clarified. He also demanded an investigation into the criminal backgrounds of the named individuals and appropriate legal action under the Indian Penal Code based on the allegations in the complaint.
Hameed Sheikh also requested immediate police protection for himself and his family members. He demanded that the roles of the named individuals be investigated if any unpleasant incident occurs with him or any family member in the future. At present, after the complaint reached the police, the preliminary investigation process is reportedly underway. The veracity of the alleged audio, the context of the conversation, and the confirmation of the allegations in the complaint can only be established after an investigation.
