Manse protested against the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Administration for mocking Ganapati statues.

During the ten‑day Ganeshotsav, a large number of Ganapati idols were immersed in an artificial immersion pool created by the Mirabhayander Municipal Corporation. It is alleged that after the festival, the water from this artificial pool was discharged into Bhairand Bay via a machine, and the immersed idols were buried with soil laid over them with the help of JSC.

In response to this incident, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNSE) publicly opposed the functioning of the municipal administration. MNSE says that the event has hurt the religious sentiments of Ganesh devotees.

MNSE questioned why various organizations and leaders who claim to be protectors of Hinduism remain silent on this matter. MNSE demanded that the relevant organizations and leaders step forward and clarify their role in this issue concerning Hindu religion, culture, and religious traditions.

FIR against responsible officials and contractors

MNSE sub‑district president Hemant Sawant has filed an FIR at Navghar Police Station against the officials and contractors responsible for the entire process.

During the filing, Assembly chairman Sachin Pople, Sub‑city chairman Ramakant Mali, Security Secretary Babu Patil, Sub‑division chairman Rahul Tiwari, and Maharashtra Soldier Anudip Pople were present.

MNSE has demanded that a permanent arrangement be made in accordance with the religious tradition of the immersed Ganapati idols. It also calls for the municipal administration to clarify the real situation of the entire matter before the public.

MNSE stated that due to the hurt religious sentiments of Ganesh devotees, the municipal administration must take the matter seriously and take appropriate action.
