Accusation of molestation and assault on a woman in Bhivandi, case filed against two brothers

Incident Amid Property Dispute at Home; Shanti Nagar Police Engaged in Investigation

Bhiwandi: A case of alleged molestation, assault, and indecent behavior towards a 24‑year‑old woman in the Gaitrienagar area of Bhiwandi has emerged. Based on the victim's complaint, Shanti Nagar Police have filed a case against Altaf Ansari and Maitab Ansari. According to the police, neither of the accused has been arrested yet.

According to the complaint registered with the police, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. on the night of 12 October 2026 in the Gaitrienagar area near Baba Hotel and Chishtia Mosque. The complainant alleges that during a dispute over property shares, her brother Nasir Ansari verbally abused and assaulted her. She then filed a complaint at Shanti Nagar Police Station and returned home.

The woman alleges that Altaf Ansari and Maitab Ansari, who live in the lane opposite her house, approached her. Both reportedly cited an assault that occurred six months earlier involving her husband and used it to provoke a dispute. According to the complaint, Altaf performed indecent acts with the woman and tore her clothes, while Maitab held her hands. When she resisted, both allegedly struck her with slaps.

In response to the woman's complaint, Shanti Nagar Police have registered the case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and begun an investigation. The investigation is being conducted by Police Sub‑Inspector Vaghmode. Confirmation of the allegations will only be possible after the inquiry.
