BJP North Indian Front Holds Cultural Event on Jitiyā Vrat

Bhiwandi: On the auspicious occasion of the Jitiya fast, the BJP North Indian Front organized a cultural and bhajan‑kirtan program near Mangal Bhavan at the Ganapati immersion ghats in Kamathghar on Saturday, marking the fourth consecutive year from Bhiwandi city. A large number of women and men from the North Indian community participated in the event.
Under the leadership of Bhiwandi district president Mangesh Lalmani Yadav, the BJP North Indian Front organized the program, featuring bhajan‑kirtan and vibrant cultural performances from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Leaders from various political parties, elected representatives, and social workers also took part.
Senior councilor Santosh Shetty stated that the deity Vural Devi is his kuldevi. He said that on the occasion of Jitiya, mothers pray for the safety, happiness, and prosperity of their children. He requested the goddess to fulfill the wishes of all fasting women.
Former BJP president and advocate Harshal Patil extended his best wishes to Mangesh Lalmani Yadav for the event. Senior councilor Nilesh Chaudhary remarked that the North Indian and Bihari communities have been associated with them for the past 25 years and that this bond will never be forgotten.
The North Indian Public Party cell, headed by RD Yadav of Maharashtra, and MLA Mahesh Chaudgule also addressed the program. Mahesh Chaudgule said that the BJP values the development and preservation of Indian culture alongside the country's development.
BJP Bhiwandi city president Ravi Sawant said that Mangesh Yadav consistently organizes various festivals of the North Indian community in Bhiwandi. This provides the new generation with an opportunity to become acquainted with their culture and traditions.
The event was attended by dignitaries such as Vishal Pathare, Chirag Gupta, Manoj Yadav, and Rajendra Yadav. Women had a prominent participation during the event, and people enjoyed the bhajan‑kirtan along with cultural performances.
