In the case, Shantinagar police have registered a case against the accused under POCSO and various other sections and have begun investigation.

According to the complaint lodged with police, the incident occurred on 6 September 2026 at around 5 p.m. beneath Ansari Apartments in Nagaw. The victim youth was present there with his friend. During that time, a conversation started with the accused regarding lifting luggage. It is alleged that during this conversation the accused made obscene and objectionable demands concerning the minor.

When the youth opposed the accused's statements, a verbal exchange ensued between them. It is alleged that as the dispute escalated, the accused began to assault the youth. The attack caused serious injury to his hand, resulting in a fracture. The injured youth was taken to a hospital for treatment.
