Maharashtra State Congress Issues Official Order; Appoints Social Media District Presidents in 14 Districts of the State
City News Mumbai/Gani Khan Bhiwandi: Senior journalist and social worker Ashok Ramrao Patole has been appointed as the district president of the Social Media Department of the Bhiwandi City District Congress Committee. The Social Media Department of the Maharashtra State Congress Committee issued an official order on 3 October 2026 to make this appointment.
The appointment was made on the proposal of the Social Media Department Chairman Hrishikesh Patil and the recommendation of Bhiwandi City District Congress President Abid Mansaf Khan. After the approval of the Chairperson of the All India Congress Committee's Social Media and Digital Platforms Department, Supriya Shrinet, and the Chairman of the Maharashtra State Congress Committee, Harshvardhan Sapkal, appointments of Social Media District Presidents were announced in various districts of the state.
The list issued by the State Congress includes, in addition to Bhiwandi City, the appointment of Social Media District Presidents for a total of 14 districts: Solapur, Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Jalna, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Latur, Jalgaon, Dhule, and Nashik.
Ashok Patole is the editor of the weekly “Bhiwandi Vrittanama.” He also serves as the district president of the weekly wing of the journalist organization “Voice of Media” in Thane. For many years he has highlighted social, civic, educational, and public interest issues of Bhiwandi through journalism.
Under his new responsibilities, Patole will work to disseminate the organizational programs and activities of the Bhiwandi City District Congress through social media, while strengthening digital dialogue between the party and citizens. Congress officials, workers, journalists, and people from the social sector have congratulated him on his appointment.
