Narendra Pawar's interim bail petition dismissed; hearing on regular petition set for Thursday.

Bhiwadi: In the case of a gang‑rape involving a helpless victim in Bapgaon‑Padghat, the Padghat Police Station registered an offence against former MLA Narendra Pawar and dismissed policeman Shailesh Patil. The Bhiwadi Additional Sessions District Court has dismissed Narendra Pawar's interim bail petition. The court of Additional Sessions Judge A. A. Karande has ruled that a hearing on the regular bail petition will be held on 24.

Based on the complaint filed by the victim, a gang‑rape case was registered at Padghat Police Station on 17 September. Since that incident, there has been a stir in political corridors. However, Narendra Pawar has been on the run since then, and the police have deployed six teams to search for him.

Earlier, on Tuesday (22), Narendra Pawar filed an interim bail petition in the Bhiwadi Additional Sessions Court. The accused's lawyers pleaded for interim bail before Judge A. A. Karande. However, the court dismissed the application and scheduled a hearing on the regular bail petition for Thursday (24). The court also instructed the investigating officer and the complainant victim to appear in court during that time.
