Accused of Securing Capital from Businessmen to Purchase Raw Materials, Stirring Up Uproar Among Entrepreneurs

A case of fraud amounting to ₹8.46 crore has surfaced in the Naropali police station area of Bhiwandi, alleging that a businessman secured capital to purchase raw material through a company and subsequently failed to pay. Based on the complaint, Naropali police have registered a case against Arpan Enterprises Private Limited and its three managers under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. No arrest has been made so far.
According to the police, the complainant Gaurav Anil Singh (41) first met the accused in August 2024. The complaint alleges that the accused’s company needed capital to buy raw material. Subsequently, the complainant’s company purchased the raw material and entered into a commercial agreement to sell it to Arpan Enterprises Private Limited and its affiliated companies. In return, the complainant’s company was to receive a 2.25% commission, while the accused were given a period to pay the amount for the goods. Initially, the business operated normally, but later the accused allegedly began delaying payment for the goods. The accused issued ten checks of ₹25 lakh each, totaling ₹2.50 crore. Only one check was honored; the rest bounced.
A written schedule was issued to pay ₹4.5 crore.
The complaint further states that at a meeting between the complainant and the accused on 5 March 2026, a written schedule was provided to pay ₹4.5 crore in 12 installments. Despite the agreed schedule, no installment has been paid to date. The complainant accuses the accused of defrauding his company by ₹8,46,57,000 in business transactions between 10 August 2024 and 22 September 2026.
The case is related to a commercial establishment near Daulat Compound at Rahanal Bus Stop and the Kalher Maruti Complex. Police have registered a case against Arpan Enterprises Private Limited and its managers Aditya Arvind Agrawal, Arvind Premnath Agrawal, and Gautam Arvind Agrawal. The investigation is being conducted by Police Inspector Mandar Lad.
